One warning we keep repeating: the cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest machine. Downtime has a way of invoicing you later. So before you shortlist any single pass digital printer, walk around it and check a few things, in person if you can.

Is the feeder automatic, and can you set the width? Hand feeding gets old fast. Look at the belt - does it have a correction system? On long runs, a belt that lets paper wander becomes a jam somewhere around the hundredth sheet. Ask whether the printhead lifts, because you will want head height for different board thicknesses. And try the software yourself, not the demo video. Drag a file in, hit print, count the screens.
